A bit about
Lüderitz our town
A Diamond
Caught between the desert and the deep blue sea, Lüderitz truly is a diamond in the rough. Its appearance can vary astonishingly from one step to another; from grabbing a bite while overlooking the tranquil harbour or finding one of its atmospheric hidden away little coffee shops to taking a lazy afternoon stroll through Smarty town (wind permitting).
Lüderitz’s weather has been known to be rather unpredictable at stages, so better safe than sorry while preparing to take it on.
If an afternoon is free, one can always take a scenic peninsula drive. Well travelled roads lead to Diaz Cross, raised in the 1800’s by a Portuguese explorer in search of new trade routes, numerous bays each different from the last and if you’re up for a bit of a hike, Eberlanz Cave with a picturesque view over the sea. Shifting sceneries provide a stunning backdrop for photographer professional and amateur alike.
