A touch of history
Lüderitz is a town filled with a rich and colourful history and stilled filled with colourful architecture. Old German buildings still feature prominently in the main part of town, with a few of them being adorned with plaques proudly proclaiming their age and here and there some of their history.
The so-called Smarty Town derives its name from the colour Art Nouveau style that was popular during the construction of many of the older buildings.
